    What I didn’t like about Gabe is that he was too comfortable exploiting the competing Black groups. He would down talk people who didn’t agree with freedman and I wasn’t cool with that.

    Also a lot of these “pro-Black” people were defending his crap talk too which to me showed that they are not ready to really run a society independent of White people. The second a White man came in saying reparations there were individuals who started parting the seas for him and saying “it’s politics all the rest of you are morons”.

    Yes, it’s politics but he needed to be made aware that he was a guest and needed to respect ALL Black people. I don’t like many of these bozos but I would never let an outsider speak against them.

    I understand how people say you need to see the forest from the trees, that no politician will be perfect, and that we shouldn't treat looking for the best politician like looking for the best romantic partner. But that doesn't mean that people have to be pressured to accept and look past any and everything, especially disrespect, betrayal, and disservice.

    Not saying Gabe is bad, but generally speaking, just because a politician isn't going to be my live-in spouse doesn't mean I have to give them the keys to my city, state, or country with my vote. What they do outside my house would matter just as much as if not more than what they do inside my house and people need to understand that.

    People implying that we need to vote for any and everybody who claims to be for reparations are basically promoting the whole toxic, mindless lemming "vote blue no matter who" mentality all over again but in a different package. It is indeed possible for Marcel and the rest the us (the world) to be blind and give support and cosigns to the wrong people for whatever reason. Many Black Civil Rights leaders and Black activists have supported and associated themselves with the wrong people to the point of getting burned, including fatally. Especially when it comes politics, business and advocacy, vetting, checking paperwork, and judging one's character are all just as important as both the cosigns and the policies and plans they say they want to impose, fight against, or support.

    Yes you are 100% correct. It’s not logic it’s dogma which is our Achilles heel. Logically it makes sense to hear Gabe out but it’s not logical to say if you don’t support him you’re dumb and just don’t understand politics.
