You need to give your body time to rest, so the ideal is prob 4/5 days a week.
4-5 days a week...I really want to do something today but I'm fighting it by resting
I was thinking that too. I'm going to stick with 5 days a week and go from there. Maybe work it up to everyday eventually. You have to work up a tolerance for your body. I would say if you are just starting out, working out every other day is ideal. You can eventually get to a point where you work out 6 days a week but you don't want to start there, you will only hurt yourself. I don't work out often. I work a lot of hours but I do like to get 3 or 4 walks in every week.
For sure. I used to be able to workout every day pretty much, but I started to get lazy, and here we are. I think I'll start off slow. I don't even know if I can go 5 days a week right now, so maybe every other day.
Workout is such a broad term that it’s impossible to give any recommendation. If you’re cycling 40 miles my guidance is gonna be different than if you’re weight training. I work out 5 days a week weight training and Mon, Weds, Friday I cycle around 20 miles which totals 60 miles a week.
Yeah I kinda want to mix some days lifting weights and other days doing cardio and other workouts. I know mixing it up is more ideal. But for me, I've gotten lazy, so it's going to be like starting from scratch. I think what I might do, is set up a workout schedule. So one day I will lift weights, the next cardio, and maybe change it up to something more intense later in the week, idk.
I am kinda interested in getting on the bike again. Haven't driven my bike in years, so maybe it's time I go out riding more often.
The days vary but the total weekly time spent is always the same for me 90mins/week minimum. Typically I do 3 days.
When I'm feeling froggy I do 30/mins each M-F and then on Sat or Sun I do a 15min yoga routine.
I need to try yoga. I've always put the idea off because I was never a fan of it, and currently I don't know if my body can even do most moves & positions.
I try to workout 4-5 times a week. I usually end up sitting a lot for work so I need that workout to get some movement in for the day.
I was thinking about getting an under the desk workout bike as I work from home a lot. So maybe moving my legs a bit would make it less bad for me to sit for so long. I would buy one, but they are pricey. Almost as much as a workout bike.
