Yes I resonate with that statement strongly being sheltered on the island, I didn't encounter racism because we really live by one human family but when I came to school and Gainesville it was a whole different ball of wax it was also very tough in Orlando even to colorism...

Well, no not really a shock.... But the first time the term🥷🏾 was TRULY used as a verbal assault on me, I was about 32? Which led to her being physically assaulted, and I told her I might be one of those but Ta'DAY I'm Pocahontas and proceeded to scalp her by playing helicopter with her.
