So you were like Malcom X with the perms? I am glad I returned natural because those perms were annoying and I can see the difference of how my hair is versus over a decade ago. Back when I was younger, I could remember running to the sink for my mother to rinse the creamy crack out (just for me, dark and lovely). I don’t miss those days at all. The only problem I have with my natural hair is maintenance and dryness. My hair has really been great in 2019, and it was the longest. I was amazed to see how my hair is capable of growing. Proper maintenance will do that. I want locs to grow my hair longer and help with maintenance. Plus I think they would look good on me. Most times I want my hair up where I don’t have to comb, pluck, or brush. Only mist with water and use hair butter for moisturizing. Protective styling is my best friend, but I need professionals to do it. I also like to be versatile with my hair. Do you keep up with the length of your locs? I wonder how the hair grows the wai it does because I learned you not only need a healthy and clean scalp but trimmed ends. The hair cannot grow if the ends aren’t trimmed. I received my first trim in like 2 years last month. I am due to receive another in March (I believe).
