Dressing the part!

People often overlook this when it comes to relationships but they know all about it for work. You dress for the job you want, not the job you have. Why do people not do this for relationships? Your first impression of a person is always their looks and their style. When it comes to ladies, if you are out there looking like an unkept hoe, you will not be viewed as wife material. When it comes to men, if you are dressing like you run the streets and not a business, you are going to push away solid women who are looking for long-term relationships and family.

I think people need to really think about how they present themselves in public, especially if they are single. You never know whose path you may cross and you could be missing out on someone perfect for you just because of the way you dress.

I've seen a couple clips of this and one of them made it hard to see who was the aggressor. Homeboy oversold that ass beating...he was flipping around by the conveyor belt. I heard the Black man was arrested though. Anyone have any updates?

JUST A THOUGHT!

So I listen to a lot of different people in independent media.
I think one of the most important things is being able to think critically and think on your own.
That means sometimes being able to disagree. While I feel most of the people in the new black media are all well meaning and have the best interest of the black community at heart, sometimes I hear people speak without thinking about what they are saying.

This leads to commentary that is incorrect or doesn't make a lot of sense.

Tariq Nasheed always seems well versed and has thought about what he is saying. I rarely if ever disagree with his commentary.

TD Hip Hop media is also well researched. He looks up facts and stats before making a video.

Prof Black Truth also comes across as well researched.

There are others though that are just going off the fly and saying whatever comes to mind it seems. Philip Scott while I enjoy his commentary is an example. He double talks and says contradicting things from one video to the next.

The Black Authority is another example. While I find value in his work I feel like he is just saying whatever thought comes to mind at the moment.

Just my opinion!

Dealing with spam...

So I noticed I have been getting more and more e-mails from companies. Like ones I normally shop with online or shop with now and then. When they send too many e-mails, I normally just go to the bottom and unsubscribe to the newsletters and updates. The e-mails should stop... But they don't. How the heck are you meant to get rid of these when you can't unsub to them?

This BS is starting again...

Belgium has gone into lockdowns over the monkeypox outbreaks. Expect this to spread. Be prepared.

During the 2020 nonsense, a lot of cases of "covid" were actually standard flus which happens every year and the tests that were being used were only graded as being about 34% accurate. This is why we didn't see the typical 150k to 225k deaths from the seasonal flu that happens each year in the US - they were saying covid was causing this when it was just the standard flu. Mostly killing people who are much older (70+ in age) and those who have severe medical issues.

People are speculating that shingles will be labeled as monkeypox since there are 1 million cases each year and growing. Working in a clinic, I can tell you this number has shot up big time since 2020. Some link it to the vaxx and others link the increased cases to stress. Either could be a factor but shingles when they are severe enough do resemble monkeypox. My mother has had them (shingles) a few times and was not able to be around young children (infants or toddlers) or older folks.

I would stock up on supplies now. People will be hoarding again.

MISSION IMPOSSIBLE 7- DEAD RECKONING

I've been a fan of mission impossible since the '70s, The iconic theme music, every episode was always action-packed. When Tom Cruise Stared in the first Mi1, he fit the part perfectly, the team is pretty close to the original. These Mission impossible movies are pretty much on par with the James bond movies when it comes to production and action. This one looks really good.

Gears 6 in development and A rumored gears collection coming out

Gears of war six or gears six,as they call it will be on the unreal five engine
It's also to be rumored that gears of war will receive a halo master chief collection style remaster for all its games Gears of war is my favorite series from Microsoft

Gaming Friends

Kinda of a rant but as i got older i lost too much of my gaming friends, like i had a good friend that i completed all the halo campaigns with. Most of my other friends are not gamers like me or only play one game like 2k or Destiny 2. Online multiplayer is even worse it just makes you think that pre internet gaming was more authentic. Don't lose your gaming friends rant over

How I Went From Fat to Fit and Why You Should Too

By BrianCJ1123

If someone were to tell the 16 year old me, that at over twice my age then, I’d be in shape now, let alone competing for a feature in Muscle & Fitness magazine, the response would have been an admixture of dismissiveness, indifference, & perhaps even ridicule.

Table of Contents

High School, High Blood Pressure, Etc.

Although the high school years are a ripe age for idealism & whimsical dreaming, concerning the future, personal health stats then did little to breed such opportunity, given my flirting with almost 250lbs, not to mention both high blood pressure & cholesterol.

Ironically, when my physician broke this discouraging news to me, there were at the time, local news reports of 2 high school students (athletes), that had fallen prey to heart attacks, & died prematurely as a result. Coming to grips with the fact that, apart from coerced gym class participation, the only exercise I engaged in was maneuvering the elbow to put food in my mouth, & therefore a fatal cardiac blow, having taken these young football players, was certainly not outside the realm of possibility for me. Therefore, the visceral response to this immediate problem was of course, to “go on a diet”.

Six Flags “Weight” Adventure

Having been overweight most of my childhood, the first experience I had with food intake modification began in the 2nd grade. This arguably, was the best “diet” I was put on by a clinician, given that, apart from a prescribed appetite suppressant, the primary tool stressed for losing weight was portion control. Although a simple solution, it is one likewise easily hidden & forgotten under the pop culture of diet pills, magic potions, saran wrap girdles, & other such microwave fixes.

If anyone like me, has had any experience with dieting & substantial weight loss, they’re probably also familiar with the “roller coaster” effect that often comes with it, esp. long-term. After the shedding of weight during my grade school years, there followed the “skinny euphoria”, whereby the hapless & undisciplined victim falls prey to the “I can eat anything now!” mentality. Fast forward through this time, & you’ll stumble across my middle school years, wherein other (questionable) clinicians were sought out, not to mention a brief stint with the Slim-Fast diet. Ultimately, these brought me to high school age, at which point, the only “loss” was my interest to tackle the problem altogether, as both my appetite & waistline expanded. That was of course, until co-morbidities came knocking at the door.

The Scare Diet

As with anything in it’s prototype phase, there is ofttimes, a laundry list of mistakes & kinks that warrant ironing out, over the passage of time. The radical shift in my food intake at 16 was certainly no exception, as it was what I like to coin, a “scare diet”. As you recall from above, I was triggered by the doctor’s report of my having high blood pressure & cholesterol, and as a knee-jerk response thereto, went on a “dietary exorcism”, to cast out the “unclean” victuals. The power of fear, COMPELS YOU!!!

Egg yolks: high in fat & cholesterol (albeit the main source of the egg’s nutrients), & therefore were the devil, for about a year’s time. Egg whites only. Cheese: another demonic entity – high in fat (namely saturated), & therefore was the perfect “cocktail” for a heart attack. It too was blacklisted for roughly a year or more. As an aside: one silver lining to this Pharisaical regimen was my waning passion for baked goods, sweets, candy, & the like, which (in my opinion) offer no real nutritional benefit, apart from stimulated taste buds.

Ultimately, while losing almost 100 lbs (coming down to 150, from 247), I still had not gained an appreciation for enjoying “bad foods” in moderation, nor retained the discipline for portion control, as I did during the span of the diet. Remember that neighbor, “Skinny Euphoria”, I told you about earlier? He dropped in again during this time, although not with the same vigor, nor outfit as he had before. And now, we segue into the fitness aspect of the journey…

The Gym Addiction Begins

Not having been particularly athletic, outside of Tae Kwon Do classes in my pre- teen years, it was approximately 40 lbs into the “scare diet”, that my aunt formally introduced me to the iron & rubber jungle, that is the gym. Going back to the motif of that “prototype phase”, I initially started by following her lead on cardio machines, & with the impetus of natural curiosity, moved on to explore the more strength-based/muscle building aspects of the club. From this time forward, I became hooked onto a salubrious habit, that being now in my early 30’s, I’ve
unregrettably not been able to “kick”.

Belly’s Sliders and Wings

Jay submitted a new business:

Belly’s Sliders and Wings - Wings and sliders slathered in bold tosses

It started as a vision of four men to create financial freedom and generational wealth with a product that they each could relate to… FOOD! But little did they know how troubling this road would be. Their first event was a total disaster. After all the preparation that they had thought they had done they weren’t able to get the brand new fryers working. But that wasn't enough to deter these men from achieving their dreams. See for them they viewed every obstacle as a lesson. As a lesson...

May The Co-Opt Be With You: Juneteenth Ice Cream, Via Walmart

Notice the trademark symbol behind Juneteenth, as if that's some market term, & wasn't already a holiday, specifically relevant to Freedmen Americans. Also: on the far right side of the jar, you can just make out the words, "Our Story". Funny: when did Walmart/Great Value products become owned by "us"?

As another astute friend on Facebook pointed out: do they have ice creams to "celebrate" via co-opt, the historic tragedies/triumphs of other groups? Any Holocaust Edition ice-cream sandwiches? Trail Of Tears Tea? But I digress.....
