Sure, the dominant society wants black women to get abortions, which is why it is readily available in black communities, but do a bunch of Planned Parenthoods in the neighborhood mean black women are required to get them?

The fact that Black people were once the only race on the planet, it's not unthinkable to think they didn't inhabit every or at least explored most of the land on this rock. I've always known that the "native Americans" didn't just pop up out of nowhere (like how the Asians believe they got here) the base for all humanity, to its core comes from a Black man and women.

I think it's good to have high standards, but you have to be honest with yourself. If you feel like you wouldn't date yourself, then maybe you should reevaluate what kind of expectations you have for others. Your standards are too high when you're asking for something you are not able to give to someone else, or to yourself. What are your thoughts?

I want to appreciate Apple and use their products, but I can't come to terms with the fact that their products are just too expensive. I get that their products are priced that way because it's Apple. So for some reason, they feel like they can overprice their products. I feel like a lot of Apple Macbooks or Macs in general are overpriced for the specs they have. I mean, couldn't you buy a Windows PC with the same specs for much cheaper?

I wouldn't know, because I never purchased a Mac, but I assume that they are priced the way they are because of their name alone. I could probably custom build a PC with better specs for cheaper.

iPhones are another story. Because you can always get a contract plan and get the phone for cheaper or even free depending on how long you are on a plan. But not with the Mac or their other devices.

I just never agreed with the pricing they go with. If they priced a bit more fairly, I would maybe get Apple products more.

Brett Favre must return $828K in welfare funds to Mississippi or face civil lawsuit, state auditor says

Former NFL quarterback Brett Favre must return $828,000 that he received from welfare funds, according to a statement from Mississippi State Auditor Shad White. The funds were supposed to go to families in need. Favre received a total of $1.1 million in funds from two non-profit organizations, whose owners have been indicted on federal and state charges concerning their alleged role in the largest embezzlement scheme in Mississippi history.

Favre isn't facing any criminal charges for his involvement, but if he doesn't repay the money within 30 days he will face a civil lawsuit, as will Favre Enterprises. White announced that Mississippi Department of Human Services former executive director John Davis isn't so lucky, as he is currently awaiting trial on embezzlement charges related to the scheme.

Fun fact: I grew up in Mississippi and used to pass his house all of the time on my to Hattiesburg. I once saw him cutting his lawn riding on his riding mower.

A key point in my spiritual journey was uncovering my childhood vows. The deeper I got into myself, the clearer the rest of the world became. It was really kind of amazing.

The big revelation for me was that every defense mechanism I made actually brought to me the very thing I created the defense mechanism to protect me from. This was groundbreaking LOL. Then I started to recognize the same phenomenon in the world.

White supremacy (for ex.) is nothing more than a collective defense mechanism and it brings to the white collective all the things it was created to defend against. Insecurity, lack, chaos, inadequacy, fear, superiority complex, etc.

So, when I think about Reparations, which is basically the end of white supremacy, and how hard white people fight against or to ignore it, it makes me think about how insane I must be in some area of my life. An entire collective of people is fighting to the death against their own freedom. It's mind blowing.

Makes me wonder what "blessings" am I blocking.

With the recent outing of Jon Gruden for being a racist douche, it made me wonder if more staff in the NFL will be outed. I mean, the fact that Gruden sent some of the offensive emails back 10 years ago, signifies to me that there were people working with him that allowed him to do it. When are those people going to be outed along with him?

I think this is going to result in more staff being outed as racist, or either sexist, homophobic, etc. Who could you see being outed next? I'm sure there's a lot more than just Gruden.

Blind dating weirds me out, so I don't really think I would ever do it. I know it's kinda shallow to say, but I like to know who I am talking to before I meet them. But, what about you? Would you ever attempt to do a blind date to meet someone? Have you ever done blind dating? How was it? Did you meet anyone of interest or was it a bust?

This topic was inspired by the recent topic about William Shatner going to space. I remember hearing about the possibility of humans colonizing Mars, and that we could be doing it sometime in the 2020s I think it was. Would you join the cause and colonize Mars with a group of other humans?

Honestly, I don't know what I would do. I would probably want to stay on earth. But, I think it'd be cool to make history as one of the first colonizers of Mars. But, the con of going to Mars, is, Mars lol. I can't imagine living on Mars would be fun. But, it would be interesting for sure. I'd want to go investigating the planet to see if we can find any sign of previous life.
