    When should someone propose?

I’ve seen so many posts on social media with women saying they have the “sauce” because their man proposed within 6 months. Other women left comments about being proposed to within a month. Cute, but that’s way too quick for me. What’s the rush? Would that be a red flag for tou Some people can...

Dealing with anxiety and the past

You are not your mistakes. Give yourself some grace and applaud yourself for your awareness and accountability. Unfortunately what’s done is done, but once you know better you do better. You have to release the past, and grow from it. Character speaks volumes so forget what people are saying...

    Seeking help

As @Jay mentioned, I read a lot of self-help books. It’s cheaper and you can always go back to the book if you need to freshen up on a subject. You can also journal your thoughts while you’re reading to release the feelings. There’s also a lot of good info on YoutTube and I follow a lot of...

Getting back together after a breakup?

It wasn’t hard. The first thing is being aware. Some people don’t even know they have attachment issues. But I realized if I wanted different results then I had to make some changes within myself. I had to do the work. I started reading books to help me on my journey.

What do you think are the keys to a successful marriage?

All of the above, and I would add… make space for growth. The person you marry is going to change in 5 years, 10 years, etc. Be patient and supportive as they evolve or during their life transitions.

Could you do a relationship without sex and intimacy?

No. What are we in a “relationship” for? Sounds like a roommate. Are they intimate in other ways such as emotionally, intellectually, etc? If so, then the physical intimacy should follow. So that person might not be interested anymore and they’re over the relationship. Maybe they’re checking out...

    Who pays?

I would pay… but really, why are we going out if our money is tight? We can go to the store, buy some groceries, and have a nice romantic dinner at home. That would be much cheaper. And if you cook together then you’re creating some quality time with each other, too.

Would you date someone with a couple kids?

One kid max and the child has to be 5 or older. That’s enough time for the child to have a solid relationship with each parent, and hopefully enough time for the parents to be over each other. I just want to avoid confusion and/or drama.

What’s the most interesting thing you’ve done?

I was asked this question today so now I want to know your response. I climbed the Dunn’s waterfall in Jamaica! I slipped on the rocks about 19 times but I made it to the top! It was fun, I would do it again.

What Do You Bring To The Table?

The question, "what do you bring to the table?" has been stirring up a lot of controversy lately. What would you say if someone asked you that question? I've actually been asked that before.... Boy bye! No one should have to ask this question if they're having real conversations. But some...

Do you believe in right person wrong time?

I don’t believe in it. If they are the right person then you’ll figure out a way to make it the right time. Some things are just not meant to be.

Do you want a relationship or just a friends with benefits type of situation?

“A lot of people like to do the time but don't like to do the work.” I like that.

Where do you like to go on your first date?

Yes, anywhere in public where we can talk is ideal. Definitely not the movies, a concert, dancing or anything like that. Those are fun dates while in a relationship, though but you can’t really have a conversation. I like dinner, happy hour, picnics (anything with food lol!).

What actor would you hang out with?

Tracee Ellis Ross is the only one who comes to mind right now. She’s funny, bubbly, outgoing, awkward.. lol

Getting back together after a breakup?

I can relate. But I realized relationships are about honestly and vulnerability, and we choose to work it our or walk away. I used to leave quickly, but now I communicate my needs and set boundaries first. And if things still don’t work then their loss.
