As pretty much everyone on the website knows I'm in an interracial marriage.

I've always said that this isn't something that is easy.

So I've been following coverage of the situation in Memphis with Tyree Nichols.

My wife generally follows a lot of brain dead garbage on TikTok YouTube that I'm just not interested in. Nevertheless I try to show at least some interest.

I asked her this evening to hang out with me. She said I don't want to watch what you're watching.

I asked why not. She said she doesn't care about it.

I tried to explain to her that this is something she should care more about because it affects her husband and the father of her children.

Her response infuriated me so much I just had to walk away. She tells me to just not put myself in that situation.

I explained that I can't leave my house without putting myself in that situation. I can't sit in my living room without putting myself in that situation. My mere existence puts me in that situation and there is nothing I can do to change it!

I told her clearly that if we didn't have children after saying something that insensitive we'd be getting divorced!

His white partner in crime and the Internal Affairs of the police covered for him by lying and claiming it was a "medical episode." This unnamed, drunk druggie cop is STILL on the police force. This is just a disaster waiting to happen.

This is what Black people are being forced to accept.

Here is heartbreaking news regarding Amber Carr, the sister of Atatiana Jefferson, who passed away from congestive heart failure. She was only 33 years old. The family has been going through so much since the murder of Atatiana. My thoughts and prayers go out to the family and friends, especially Amber’s two sons. One of whom was with their aunt Atatiana the night the police killed her in her home. Atatiana Jefferson’s sister, Zion Carr's mom passes away

Not sure if anyone has had family members in the Olympics and Super Bowl before.

Black men who are apart of a group called New Era Detroit reserved their time to watch over customers as they pumped gas and purchased groceries. In this video clip, the men are seen helping the women pump their gas and store groceries in their cars. These kings could’ve been home sleeping, watching movies. I commend them for supporting the community. We need more of this over this country. 😍✊🏾

Morgan State University is an HBCU located in Baltimore, Maryland, who is the first to offer scholarships for undocumented immigrants in Maryland. This is a bad move on the university’s part as there are Black students who struggle to pay for their tuition and housing. I wonder what the current Black students think about this, especially the ones on who may be on meal plans and working hard to pay bills. Login to view embedded media

Coppin State University received a $3.9 million dollar federal grant from the Department of Commerce’s National Telecommunications and Information Administration. The grant will improve connectivity, access, and opportunity in West Baltimore. Technological resources, training, and access to affordable broadband internet service will be provided. While these politicians celebrate connecting people to the internet, they ignore the issue of lineage-based reparations. I am not against people gaining internet connection, but what will that do specifically for Black people? Black people will still suffer from job and housing discrimination, food desserts, poor education, broken homes, unnecessary violence, I could go on. Opportunity for all does not help Black Americans. It undermines the issues of our community that must be addressed. When the Asians receive tangibles for themselves, it isn't for all. When illegal immigrants receive incentives, it's just for them. Black people deserve incentives just for us. The "digital divide" issue could have been addressed several years ago.
