Will other companies go the Gamepass route?

Microsoft Gamepass is a major hit, and has inspired Sony with their PlayStation now service (I think that's what it's called) to do their own. Do you think other companies like maybe Steam and Epic Games follow this trend? I honestly haven't purchased a new game in a while. I did buy WWE 2K22, but the most recent game I purchased before that, was probably RDR2. Ever since Gamepass came around, I haven't had to bother buying games. I usually get one month of gamepass ultimate, which nets me games on Xbox and PC.

For me, it saves me some money, as I used to buy games often, but now I just get gamepass and I'm mostly good with the games that are on there. If there's another game I really want though, I'll probably buy it.

What do you think? Could we see more services offer up their own gamepass like Xbox and Sony have?

Do you think we'll be living in the "metaverse" one day?

The metaverse is something I'm not so sure about. If it's attached with Facebook, I don't know if I really want to support it. But with how things are going, I could see the metaverse becoming a virtual place people meet going forward. The internet alone is already becoming a virtual world for people, and now with the actual metaverse, I could see some people living in that virtual world.

I don't think I would ever "live" in the metaverse, but I'm willing to bet there are people who will be into that idea.

What do you think though? Will the metaverse become the new way we interact with people going forward?

Boeing 737-Sized Asteroid To Pass As Close to Earth As the Moon

Looks like the end times may be arriving. Nah just kidding, but if this story is true, we may actually be able to see the Asteroid come close to earth. I don't think we have to worry about it, as it should pass without issue, but if it were to hit earth, it would hit at 17,000 mph, as currently that's what it's going at. Not sure how much damage that would do if it hit earth, but I imagine it wouldn't be great.

You can read more about this story below:

Also, had to bring this up, but they mention in the article as well, that we should be safe from impact, as there is no known asteroid that poses a threat to earth for the next 100 years. Which means, 100 years from now, it could be a different story.

Will the US be able to get Brittney Griner back?

The US is supposedly attempting to do a prisoner swap to bring Griner back home, but so far I haven't heard a whole lot on that. She got 9 years for drug possession. She is stuck in Russia for the foreseeable future. I could see Russia keeping her there as long as possible before they agree to a prisoner swap.

Do you think the US will be able to get her out? I guess Russia is taking their sweet old time in cooperating, so who knows what is going to happen at this point.

The article below discusses that they're still working to get her out, but they have to wait for some appeal stuff in the courts to go down first before they entertain the idea of a prisoner swap.

Kentucky Detective to Plead Guilty to Conspiracy in Breonna Taylor Case

Things are starting to move even further in the Breonna Taylor case, as one of the detectives (Kelly Goodlett) will plead guilty for falsifying the affidavit to in turn get the warrant that inevitably resulted in Breonna Taylor's death. Sadly, i'm not seeing any mention of being charged with murder for the people responsible, just saying shit like everyone was "charged with civil rights and obstruction offenses, as well as unlawful conspiracies and unconstitutional use of force" according to the article.

It looks like things are moving, but how long will these police officers face in jail? I have a feeling they won't get as much time as we are hoping they get.

For many years the GOP has said, "Back the badge!"
But now that the FBI has raided Trumps' home they're saying "F the police!"

Lmfao these same anti-Black racists and white extremist terrorists were clutching their pearls for years while angry and disgusted when many people were screaming "Fuck the Police", "Defund the Police" and "Abolish the Police" when the corrupt thugs with badges were hunting down, attacking, lynching, setting up, and murdering innocent Black people and continue to do so with impunity. They were cheering on the likes of Kyle Rittenhouse, George Zimmerman, Travis McMichael and Greg McMichael and other irregular forces of white supremacy when they murdered and went after Black people (including Black children) and anyone suspected of being n1gger lovers.

But now that a guilty Donald Trump and the terroristic US Capitol insurrectionists of Jan 6, 2021 are allegedly being targeted by law enforcement and Trump officially lost the 2020 election, these anti-Black racists are claiming fake "oppression" and are now singing to this very song they love to hate on while aiming to beat the police and FBI with American flags, tiki torches, guns, bombs, zip ties, baseball bats, rocks, bows and arrows, fire extinguishers, other weapons and anything else.

From Ukraine to inflation Biden has EASILY found hundreds of billions for everything from special interest groups to startup corporations, but he can't find 2-cents for black people. And the bootlicks say we have to vote for the democrats in November, or we won't get anything from them.

Best free games on Xbox?

So I ordered my Xbox Series S and it will be here either tomorrow or Wednesday. I want to get some games downloaded right away. I know it is going to take a while since my internet is not the best. What are some good free games worth getting?

I am likely going to get Modern Warfare 2 when it comes out since my baby bro is getting it, we can play it together. My dad is even considering getting it too. My mom is not too happy about that cause last time he had a CoD game, he stayed up late playing and wouldn't go to bed until 2AM LOL

Where is health at on your dating radar?

I know a lot of people focus on looks and income, but what about health?

I feel like more people need to focus on the health of who they are getting with cause you don't want your relationship to be cut short due to them dying young or them becoming a mess and you needing to take care of them. It puts a burden on things.

I always pay attention to their diet, drinking habits, etc. because I want to know the person I am with cares enough to take care of themselves.

Rihanna has a net worth of $1.7 billion

Damn that's a lot of money. It was recently reported that Rihanna is now worth $1.7 billion. That's damn impressive if you ask me, and this was back in 2021. I can only imagine what her net worth is at this point and time. This has made her one of the richest female entertainers of all time and the richest female musician of all time. And at the age of 34 she's got a lot of time to build that up even more.

I wish I had $1.7 billion. nialongupset

Prefer gaming on PC, console or handheld?

Do you prefer to game on PC, console or a handheld device like a smartphone, tablet or a handheld console? I got myself a fairly decent gaming PC, it's nothing to go crazy for, but it gets the job done for me. I do have to put some settings down, but I'm fine with the graphics looking a bit rough to be able to play some of the newer games. With that being said though, I prefer my gaming PC over consoles or handhelds. Mainly because there's just so much more to do compared to other devices. What do you prefer to game on though? PC, consoles, or handhelds?

Your thoughts on foldable smartphones

R.f0bbe7a0ebd4c01f16d59c29f6f4dedf

Are you interested in those foldable smartphones? I think they're kinda cool and more screen is always a plus in my opinion, but I also hear they aren't as reliable as traditional smartphones. They break easier because the screens are made more of plastic, and there are parts that are prone to damage from dirt and other debris. But I'm still tempted to pick one up one of these days. I'm going to wait a bit longer before buying one though. Make sure all the bugs and issues are ironed out first.

Does anyone here own a folding smartphone? Do you like it?

Universal Basic Income a bad idea?

Remember when that Andrew Yang ran for president back in 2020? One of his promises was to give all Americans a universal basic income of $1000 a month. He of course didn't get elected and his idea didn't come to light. But, with the recent inflation and possible recession, do you think it would be a good idea to give all Americans a universal basic income? Or will it just result in more people not working?

I'm all for a little extra money. For me $1000 wouldn't go very far, but hell, I'd take it. I could use it for food, bills, or even just spending money. I have a fairly good job, so I don't really need it. But I could then save that $1000 per month, and then invest that into other things. But I could see a lot of people deciding not to work because of it.

What country was it that tried universal income? I think it was Norway. I heard that experiment didn't work out so well, as it resulted in some people half-assing it at work or outright quitting their job.

What do you think about Universal Basic Income of $1000 a month? Do you think it'll result in abuse? Will it help or hurt?

Bronny James a future star in the NBA?

I saw a video of this kid go, and I could see him repeating what his pops is doing currently. Do you think he could potentially be the next best thing when he inevitably enters the NBA? He's currently still playing high school ball, but I see him jumping into college or even right into the NBA. The fact he has already received scholarship offers as way back as a kid, he could land anywhere he wants potentially.

I know the rules are different these days, but he could be in the NBA within one-two years after he graduates high school. But I believe he also needs at least a year of college before he is eligible.

What do you think will happen? Drafted into the NBA without having to go to college? Or will he play some college ball before he makes the jump?

Is monkeypox going to be the next pandemic?

I've been hearing news of people getting the monkeypox virus as of late. I don't know if it's been a lot, but it seems to be making the news more often. The news is probably just trying to scare people who are still afraid of Covid. Do you think monkeypox could become a pandemic like situation similar to what we got with Covid?

I don't think we'll end up dealing with another pandemic. If anything Covid could make a comeback before monkeypox becomes a worldwide problem. But, what are your thoughts. Is monkepox just another fear tactic to scare us? Or is it going to be a bigger problem than we think?

One other reason I don't see it being on the level of Covid, is due to us knowing more about it and so I imagine doctors/scientists have a way to combat it.
